The Conclave plot
Rome, 1948. Pope Calixtus III is dying. The battle over who will be his successor is in full swing in the conclave, the closed rooms in the Vatican in which the cardinals choose a new pope. One of the cardinals is 27-year-old Rodrigo Borgia, nephew of the dying Pope. The power of the Borgia family is at stake. The mood in the conclave is running high.

I thought it was a long sit and I didn't understand much of all those power games and discussions. Apparently it's about the power of the French and Spanish king over the kingdom of Naples and the new Pope apparently plays an important role in that. Whatever. The opening scene is nice and the decoration of the film is also okay. Beautiful photography of Rome here and there.
