After eight years of marriage, Robert and Nina decide to divorce. He befriends his old sailor buddy Charlie Nelson, a woman hunter, while Nina turns to her mother for advice. They both go out with new people, but every time they accidentally see each other, it's clear that the past isn't over.

A simple story that has become quite entertaining due to the funny dialogues. Also of course also by a wonderful cast, I didn't know Jack Carson yet but also portrays his character very nicely. 
The elaboration of the ending was a bit short-sighted and simple, but oh well.. it's certainly anything but an annoying sit.

Plenty of fun comedies have been made, the execution of the divorce is rather weak here, Judy Holliday will never become one of my favorite actresses, she can't really bring it all convincingly and is too limited in her expression.
