La Table aux Crevés plot
When Urbain returns to his farm, he finds his wife dead. She committed suicide. However, her parents trick her into thinking that Urbain killed her because he didn't care about their daughter at all. Urbain is in love with the beautiful Jeanne. When he wants to marry her, he encounters the veto of her family.
