Shahzad is a widower and father of two children, whom he tries to keep in line. He promised his wife that he would make sure his daughter married the right man. However, Salma quickly grows up and as her planned engagement to Haroon approaches, she falls more and more in love with the charismatic Imi, prompting her to leave her traditional family behind and start a new life together.

Too bland. It is mainly a registration that leaves me with questions and I would have preferred if people tried to find answers to them. Because why do immigrants get so stuck in their own culture, while these immigrants simply speak English and apparently keep up with society? Yet people still stick to their medieval ways of thinking. Social pressure? But why do you put pressure on each other or why don't you leave the group? Or is it something else, like homesickness? But the film doesn't come up with that. And then I think the film is too short to make an impression and the father in particular irritated me quite quickly. 2.0*.

Dark drama about a young Muslim woman who wants to escape a forced marriage and ultimately pays the ultimate price. Just like almost all films about honor killings, it is a very uncomfortable experience.
