Kerstmis in Floradorp plot

Floradorp is an Amsterdam garden village that is now sandwiched between the Kamperfoelieweg, the Snowbalweg and the Floraweg in Amsterdam-North. Popularly, the neighborhood was also called 'De Rimboe' and not without reason. Unemployment among residents is high; about eighty percent of breadwinners are out of work. The Municipal Housing Service built the district in the 1920s with the intention of educating problem families for better living. Now the neighborhood has its own character. The sense of community among the residents is high. The film portrays some of them as they prepare for Christmas. An important question is who has decorated his house the most beautifully.
