Meshi plot

World War II has just ended. Life is not easy in Japan. Many people have trouble making ends meet. So is Michiyo. In addition, she is increasingly struggling with her life. She especially dislikes the routine of daily boring activities. When her niece comes to visit and grabs all of her husband's attention, she wants to break with her current life.
