Beautiful People plot
"A comic collision of chaos and coincidence"
London October 13, 1993. The war in Bosnia is at its peak, but in England they have something else on their mind: the national football team will play against the Netherlands that evening! Junkie Griffin travels with his junkie friends to Rotterdam himself to witness the match, but on the way back he is so stoned that he himself does not know how he suddenly got into the fray of Sebrenica. There is also the BBC reporter Jerry at work. Meanwhile, in London, a Serb and a Croat have ended up in hospital after they clashed on a bus. To the chagrin of her very classy family, a medical assistant falls for an apparently nice Bosnian. In the same hospital, a gynecologist takes care of a young couple from Yugoslavia whose woman is expecting a child she does not want.

A satirical and at times wacky look with the Yugoslav civil war playing its part in the background. It could just be a Emir Kusturica film, only I think Kusturica would make it even sharper.
You will be sent from hot to her in terms of content. And actually after a while I didn't really feel like it anymore. I was carried away by the characters. Many characters also with various storylines that gave me the feeling of sketches.
For example, that opening scene with those two men fighting on the bus, great! But that line was not always drawn. Overall mediocre, but still quite amusing with fragments. That British mix with the Balkans was daring, but it had something.
