Der Erfinder plot

Zurich 1916. Joiner Jakob Nuessli managed to escape military service. His hobby is inventing. The First World War is still raging and the farmers are struggling with a huge mud problem. To move through the muddy country roads without having to struggle, Jakob invents the caterpillar track. However, his discovery is not seen as useful and he is considered an eccentric. They even have him locked up in an asylum. In the meantime, his invention will play an important role in the war.
