Tracks plot

"His life began a dead end."

July 1982. A group of youths are having fun on the train tracks of Fairlawn, New Jersey. However, they will remember this summer evening. Without thinking twice, the boys flip a switch and disaster ensues. The oncoming train derails, whereupon the unfortunate train driver is killed. This true film follows Peter Madigan, who is forced to spend five years in a maximum-security prison during the aftermath of his co-initiated accident. Amid the violence, hatred and harsh conditions, he tries to get his life back on the "right track".
