Louise and Kasper, a Danish couple, live in a secluded villa in the middle of the forest; away from modern life, technology and even without electricity. Louise's greatest dream is to become a mother, but she cannot have children. She finally, out of desperation, decides to make a pact with her Romanian maid, Elena. She accepts to become a surrogate mother in exchange for a large amount of money. But the life in her is growing fast and affecting everyone's life as an evil force. Paranoia and horror precede the inevitable birth.
