I thought this was a nice romantic movie. I honestly don't like the comedy part in this film, but I did enjoy the romantic part.

Alec Baldwin was also very well cast for this movie. If I may believe the magazines, he almost played himself in this. He is also known as a bit of a bad guy and he shows that here. Sarah Michelle Gellar also put in a good performance here because I found the feeling between the two players very believable. It felt very familiar and yet exciting between the two.

For the rest, this is not really a high-quality film, but I was able to empathize with the entire love development and I think that is the most important thing in a romantic film.

Gellar clearly has to rely on her looks, because real acting is (unfortunately) not in it. Alec Baldwin does such a job somewhat routinely.

It is apparently becoming more and more fashionable to fragment films with intertitles, as was used in the days of silent films. I find that increasingly annoying and a sign of weakness, because apparently the fairly simple story is not clear enough.

All in all, not really a waste of time, but also not a film that stands out above the gray average.

Nice romcom movie with a nice Sarah Michelle. Especially nice in the first half, after that the pace slows down a bit and the film goes a bit too far towards the dead end. Buffy is doing well, enthusiastically trying her best without being too much of Buffy, but Alec Baldwin is a bit underwhelmed. A supporting role, it is of course nothing more.

The story may lack the bite to make it interesting, but that in itself is somewhat part of the romcom/feelgood genre. Of course there is something in return... tomorrow the whole movie will be long forgotten.
