Die Weiße Schlange plot

Endres wants to be more than just a farmer's son. He wants to learn to read and write, clothes without holes and a normal bed. He goes to the king's court and is appointed as the king's servant. There he discovers that the king is hiding something: the golden bowl that Endres serves the king daily contains a white snake that allows the king to communicate with animals.
