Night of the Hunter plot

As a so-called evangelist, criminal Harry Powell approaches the young widow Willa Harper, whose husband was fatally injured in a robbery. Powell is after the hidden loot and gets Willa to marry him. Behind her back he puts enormous pressure on her son John, but he sees through and does not give in.
