Macross Plus plot

The epic war between humanity and the Zentraedi is many years behind us as we write the year 2040. Human civilization is thriving and it has spread through space across multiple colonies. Technology has developed at a steady pace and AI is now so advanced that it is almost indistinguishable from human; all that's missing are real feelings. In the case of a virtual pop idol, these are provided by Myung Fang Lone, including when idol Sharon Apple gives a concert at space colony Eden. Here she comes into contact with her past when she meets two old friends who were rivals for her love at the time. Now that they meet again, this stirs up the rivalry between them; not only in love, but also in the Supernova project, for which they are both test pilots.
