Harry Van is a singer and dancer who returns after fighting in World War I, but is unemployed. He works in various small jobs until he lands a permanent job with a traveling circus troupe centered around the clairvoyant Madame Zuleika. Trapeze girl Irene Fellara also works on the show and the two have a romance. Years later, Harry works with a group of dancers in a revue show and they tour Europe when WWII breaks out and they find themselves in German territory. One of the guests present looks a lot like Irene...
