Soldaten zonder Geweren plot
Aleta (Elizabeth Anderson) has not yet come to terms with the consequences of the February strike during the German occupation in World War II. Her husband, one of the organizers, was arrested and executed shortly after the strike. The evening before the execution of the sentence he wrote her a last letter, in which he expressed the hope that he would not die for nothing and asked her not to think too long of him. Aleta is unable to do just that - in her mind the letter has taken on a life of its own, she repeats its words over and over.
