This is especially good towards the end, but I struggled to get through it. A shame, but alas...

2*

Just watched this and it's part of one of the Arrow boxes.

A decent spaghetti western from Carnimeo with Hunter in a decent lead role.

From a role opposite Wayne in the classic The Searchers to playing Jesus to spaghetti westerns is a remarkable and not exactly a sign that your career has gone completely well,

Nevertheless, Hunter still has a bundle of charisma with his piercing blue eyes and he easily fills the screen.

For once, Lulli is not a criminal, but on the right side of the law, although he does not return after the good start.

However, it is the ladies who make the biggest impression here:

Petit is magnificently beautiful and a decent actor, though she has a super unnecessary nude scene that made me laugh more than excite. Seriously, you're out with a group of rough guys and then you go for a quick nude swim in the middle of the night, in a creek, in an otherwise deserted forest, because that makes sense?

The group Hunter and Petit set out with to rescue her husband is, of course, as is the case in these kinds of films, a diverse group, including a trickster-happy priest and the inevitable Pazzafini, well, when you have him, you don't need any enemies.

A fairly amusing Italian work with often unusual locations and a musical score by the glutton Gianni Ferrio, who in his heyday delivered as many as 30 scores a year, including the title song sung by Julia de Palma and here in the film lip-synced by the beautiful ex-Miss Italia Daniela Giordana.

The gunfight towards the end drags on a bit, but otherwise, it's a decent, action-packed, and beautifully shot Italian Western. Not bad!

A meager seven, well, okay, 3.5 stars.
