Missing in America plot

Jack Neeley (Danny Glover) is a Vietnam veteran who has been living alone in the woods for 35 years. Here he processes the traumatic experiences from his Vietnam past in isolation from the outside world. Then his old army buddy Henry suddenly shows up at his door. Dying of lung cancer, Henry sees Jack as the ideal educator for his Vietnamese daughter, Lenny. Also Red (Ron Perlman) is a Vietnam veteran who was badly maimed at the hands of a Vietcong girl. He gets wind of Lenny's presence and can no longer separate the past from the present. Red suddenly imagines himself back in Vietnam and sees the old Viet Cong enemy in Lenny...
