Tarzan of the Apes plot
"Tarzan did not know why he caressed her... He had never seen a white woman before!"
John and Alice Clayton go by ship to Africa. They are disembarked by mutineers and try to survive in the West African Jungle. Alice soon gives birth to a son, but after her death, John is left alone to take care of the child. John is killed during an attack by a group of monkeys. Their son is taken and raised by the monkey Kala. The legend of Tarzan is born. Later, young Tarzan finds his father's knife and uses it to become king of the apes. Binns, the sailor who rescued the Claytons and who has been enslaved by Arabs for ten years, finds the young Tarzan and goes to England to inform his relatives. A group of scientists and family heads to Africa to verify Binns' story...
