Epic adaptation of a fragment of the classical Chinese literary work 'The Water Margin'. A number of conspirators within the Sung Dynasty hire the warlord Golden Spear to assassinate a leader of a neighboring clan, the Liang Shan. The clan members, now branded as bandits, swear a blood feud and contact Jade Dragon, a warrior with similar abilities to Golden Spear. However, Jade Dragon is betrayed by his adulterous wife and her lover and is arrested for allegedly colluding with bandits. It's up to his ward to travel to the Liang Shan to enlist the clan's help and rescue his master, who has been sentenced to death.
