Hercules plot
Alcmene, princess of Thebes, awaits the return of her war-torn husband Amphitrion. The voluptuous supreme god Zeus assaults the modest bride and fathers a son with her. This son, the oversized Hercules, is rejected by his mother, envied by his brother Iphicles, and hated by Hera, wife of Zeus. She directs all her divine wrath on Hercules because he is living proof of her husband's infidelity. Fortunately, the demigod Hercules also has allies: his foster father Amphitrion, who is delighted by the boy's great potential; his faithful companion Linus, who promises to spread Hercules' fame; the blind oracle Tiresias, who prophesies a grand future to Hercules; the beautiful nymph Deianeira, who is secretly in love with him...and the priestess Megara, who becomes his wife.
