A documentary about musicians in Mali in the wake of a jihadist takeover and the subsequent ban on music. Music, one of Mali's main forms of communication, disappeared overnight in 2012 when Islamist extremists took hold of an area the size of the United Kingdom and France combined. Malian musicians did not put down their instruments, but fought back.
