Film about the great love of Frédéric Chopin the piano and of course the desirable George Sand, whom Liszt and Marie d'Agoult had introduced to him. She was six years older and was a very intellectual woman. She was his ideal nurse for eight years when his appetite worsened, she made her estate available and took him for a rest cure to Mallorca.

Would have been a great movie were it not for the fact that one Richard Romanowsky in the role of Joseph Elsner, Chopin's teacher, does just about anything to screw things up.
