Disillusioned, he returned to the United States. He became a peace activist and was actively involved in the mass demonstrations in 1967, during which veterans called on their government to end the war in Vietnam. In public meetings, he and many other veterans testified about the horrors they faced as soldiers in Vietnam. This documentary chronicles John Kerry's time in Vietnam and his contribution to the peace movement through archival footage, supplemented by interviews with friends, family and war veterans.
