As many references as possible to classic horror films and scenes should determine the atmosphere and progression of this moderately funny film. In the meantime, this was apparently the sixth film in the Ceasar & Otto series, with director Dave Campfield directing all parts. Unfortunately, he is by far the weakest role in his own film and even Paul Chomicki, who just stares blankly and disinterestedly for the entire film, plays an overall better character than Campfield. Some enthusiastic plot twists and full effort at a fast pace make for a not too tough film experience (the first hour at that), but after a while the complete arsenal of references and half-successful jokes starts to take its toll. The last 30 minutes are seriously tiring, because by then it is clear that the film is not going to offer anything more than a lot of comedy and little horror. The part in which Campfield responds to his own hate reviews is genuinely comical, but otherwise this film is not exactly required reading for the average horror fan. Extra points for the remarkably nice acting of the supporting roles.
