Inspector Ballestrat and his men shadow a building in which the violent criminal Sarlat is hiding. Then Inspector Fush and his arrest team arrive, who have a reputation for being tough and successful. Police Chief Ballestrat, however, wants to prevent Fush's intervention and misunderstandings arise, resulting in the death of a cop.
