La Legge è Legge plot
Due to the twisting border of the Alps, a village is part French and part Italian. A French sergeant constantly quarrels with an Italian smuggler and now finds out that his hometown, the kitchen of the inn, is a part of Italy. The authorities are now making trouble about his residence papers, which means that he is venturing into illegal practices.
