Suikerfreule plot
Dirk van der Kooy travels back to the Dutch East Indies. He was a widower when he remarried during a previous leave of absence in the Netherlands. He has concealed from his new wife that he has a daughter from his previous marriage. When his wife unexpectedly visits him, this leads to confusion and confusion.

Well.
The fact that in the Netherlands we are mainly good at empty-headed comedies that don't really have anything to laugh at is not really a big hidden secret, but it was not very clear to me that this started so long ago. Apart from that, it is also disappointing that the film was shot almost entirely in the studio in Amsterdam, and the restoration is (uch) not entirely perfect.
I was actually hoping for some images from Indonesia back then, something along the lines of Rubber that I saw a while ago. But through this misfire I discovered that Eye has a lot more, there is a whoop playlist of 132 films, mostly documentaries, and some lasting hours.
