A Time of Destiny plot

"He was Josie's brother. And Jack's best friend. And he would stop at nothing to destroy them."

Josie has a relationship with Jack against her father's wishes. When she goes to the hotel where she and Jack are staying, her father follows her and forces Josie to go with him. Jack in turn chases them again, resulting in an accident in which her father dies. Marty, her brother, despised by their father for something he did years ago, sees Jack mourning the death of his father and follows him to war-torn Europe.
