Mr. Maas is an old poor man who one day inherits a farm in Limburg. He moves to Limburg with his wife and four nephews. The man who had once lent money to Mr. Maas, wants to buy the inherited farm, but Mr. Maas does not want to sell. As a result, the lender sends 2 men to the Maas family who must ensure that the family cannot pay after all. And if they can't pay, they have to leave the farm, but the family is not so easy to get away.

Another unprecedentedly exciting youth adventure by film master Henk van der Linden. His structure, correct articulation and stunts without tricks (for example when the crook with a moustache is jumped off his horse) remain of an exceptional level for that time. The film positions are also cleverly found. In combination with the animals and aut(an)(hen)tic humor, it is all entertaining to watch.
