Year of the Gun plot
American journalist David Raybourne comes to Rome to write a book about the members of the left-wing militant terror group the 'Red Brigades', which is terrorizing Italy. An enterprising photographer sees his manuscript and believes that the novel is true, but through her fault the proof falls into the wrong hands. Tragically, the author has used the names of his friends and colleagues as pseudonyms for the real terrorists. When the 'Red Brigades' also see this work, David's circle of acquaintances is in grave danger. David becomes involved in a political game in which he can no longer trust anyone. Not even his best friends...
