Reasonable movie.

The dry Sabu moments in particular give the film color. The narrative structure and the direction the film takes are rather tired and not really interesting. Especially because that one scene barely interested me the second time, let alone the third. I also didn't think the 2 Fast 2 Furious-like chase was that great, nor did the music get a bit boring at the end. Only Terajima doesn't get boring, it's a pity that the man doesn't have a bigger role in this.

3*

Nice review.

Without the context of Tanaka's previous work and taking away from the fact that this was actually just a promo project for V6 (J-Pop band), this is still a very enjoyable film, even years later. I expected the film to be a bit disappointing, but after Hold Up Down was not too bad, I was looking forward to this one a little more. It remains the lesser of the two, but still a lot more entertaining than I remembered.

In terms of design, the film is not too original. A number of characters are confronted with the same explosive scene. They all rush in different directions, are chased by police and Yakuza, and eventually their paths will cross again.

But the film looks nice, Tanaka retains his playful way of making films, and the gentlemen actually do quite a good job, although I would have preferred to see Tanaka's regular cast. But a short and enjoyable film that won't disappoint if you're happy with quick and fun entertainment.

4.0* and a extensive review
