"Tragedy brought them together , tradition tore them apart."
To avoid military service, Matthew Carver heads west with his pregnant wife Rebecca in search of romance, adventure and a new life together. They stop at a trading post where filthy fur traders and buffalo hunters Kearney and Nielsen are causing trouble. They are chased by a number of Native Americans, including Hawk. Matthew warns the hunters about the Native Americans, but becomes a victim himself when Kearney kills him.
