Thunder Rock plot
"Strange Emotion Stir the Pulse...when LOVE and PASSION clash in the world's loneliest outpost!"
Young Journalist David Charleston manages the Thunder Rock lighthouse in Lake Michigan. He lives there all alone. As a journalist in the 1930s he tried to convince his editors and the public of the dangers of fascism and the inevitability of war. Few wanted to listen. Disappointed, he has withdrawn from life. He has no other human contact than the monthly inspector's visit. In the lighthouse he finds a log with the names of several passengers of a ship that sank off the rocky coast in the 19th century. He begins to fantasize about these people and has visions of their lives. These people's problems are much like his own and ultimately give him hope for the future. He realizes that he himself has lost heart too quickly.
