Driftwood plot

"Sometimes being rescued is worse then being left to die."

When Sarah, a French sculptor, finds a drowning man on a deserted beach, she takes him in and cares for him. The man recovers quickly, but does not remember who he is or what happened. Captivated by the handsome stranger, Sarah makes up all sorts of lies to keep him with her. As a love affair blossoms between the two, the man slowly uncovers Sarah's troubled past and insecurities. In her efforts to prevent him from leaving, she increasingly suffocates him and he devises an escape plan. Disappointed and tormented by separation anxiety, Sarah takes refuge in acts of desperation.

As far as I'm concerned, not so much bad as extremely predictable, with a touch of Misery and a pinch of Psycho. I always think James Spader is worth it, but otherwise it's a longing for the end.
