Gion Bayashi plot
In post-World War II Kyoto, young Eiko wants to become a geisha, and the veteran Miyoharu agrees to Eiko's request to teach her the trade. After extensive training, they need money so that Eiko can start his own business, and for this they borrow a sum of money from the teahouse owner Okimi, who in turn borrows money from the wealthy businessman Kusuda. However, the latter has a crush on Eiko, and also wants to give Miyoharo away to another businessman with whom he has just concluded an important contract. However, the two geishas have their own will and do not just let that happen.
