Dood Water plot

Jan Musch plays the fisherman De Geus who resists the closure of the Zuiderzee until his death. He is killed when he tries to blow up the dike. The film opens with a documentary about the construction of a dike. At the Venice Film Festival in 1934, 'Dead water' was awarded a Golden Lion for photography (Andor von Barsy), followed by an international roulement (MGM).
