I found this film very annoying and not enjoyable. I think there is also a scene in this film where someone (newsreader or something) gets a sheet with his dialogue through a hand that slides into the screen.

The idea that the 'Slime People' thrive in mist is a handy gimmick to at least somewhat disguise the appearance of these monsters. It wasn't very smart to show how unrealistic the rubber suits are before then, although it could definitely be a lot worse. The acting is also quite good, but it remains a somewhat silly and vague story. The world fights a bitter, bloody battle with Slime People who have emerged from our sewers. You don't get a conclusive explanation and the epic battle is mainly talked about a lot. We eventually see a handful of monsters fighting our heroes, but the mist is so thick at that point that it is almost impossible to follow.

This is impossible. I only got it from the description that this falls under survival, but I actually wouldn't know - three quarters of the film is shot in such a thick fog that you can't see a thing. And no, I'm not exaggerating. Furthermore, a weak story about slime monsters that spontaneously emerge from the sewer (not much more explanation is given), and that can be tackled with salt. It is mainly talked about a lot, and not shown much - and what is shown is in a thick fog bank. And a group of people who try to survive in that terrible threat. Fortunately I watched the MST3K version, there was still something to laugh about.
