Hopelessly dated. But it does give a clear picture of how Dutch film has also grown enormously in the last 10 to 15 years. This may have been considered a good Dutch movie back in the day!

Very mediocre Dutch comedy with 2 icons from Dutch showbiz Rijk de Gooyer and John Kraaykamp, further roles by Hetty Blok, Hans Boskamp and a guest role by Eddie Constantine as Bill Silkstocking, American businessman. Only nice because of the era (early 1970s) and to see these giants at work.

Johnny & Rijk with a screenplay and dialogues by Kees van Kooten. Unfortunately, the result is quite a chaotic, incoherent film with some attempts at surrealism. johnny & Rijk start a handyman business from the brothel of Toetje Kluif. De Gooyer is of course the boss while Kraaykamp is allowed to do the chores, but panic ensues when various candidates want to take over the building. Eddie Constantine also participates. And then we see a lot of familiar faces that we never saw again after 1975. I still knew Rita Corita and Harry Touw by name and oh yes Jansen & Janssen. 90% of the jokes just go wrong. Only worth looking at for the images of the Netherlands from that time. And yet very special for a Dutch film from 1973: no nude scenes!
