Nice Euro-western that just looks nice. I didn't want the violence in it, because it added nothing to the story. As the film progressed it became more and more nihilistic, which was good for the film.

Nice to see, but give me a portion of spaghetti and leave this paella alone!

2.5*

Spanish paella western claims to be the most violent of the western genre.

There are indeed some gore scenes that would not be out of place in a slasher, but they are not numerous enough to immediately declare the entire film a violent highlight.

The plot is nice, but a bit predictable and only becomes really exciting in the last half hour.

Camera work is a bit sloppy and the film contains quite a few illogical and unnecessary flashbacks.

Reasonable Spanish contribution to the western genre, but not as good as its Italian contemporaries.

A noble unknown in the film world judging by the few voices here on the forum. Completely unjustified in my opinion, because this is quite a great film. A western horror indeed, although this should be taken with a grain of salt. Some bloody kills here and there that I found a bit unnecessary and unnecessary. The meaningless flashbacks would also have been better left out.

But the film is entertaining. The excellent soundtrack also gives the film an adventurous and heroic character. It is an interesting fact, a kind of survival film in which a convoy of prisoners is left to their own devices when they are ambushed by highwaymen. Then they face hardship and an exhausting struggle.

They are not wimps, none of them anyway, and you know that they will fall one by one. It is nice to note that none survives. So not a good (cliché) ending between the girl and the lesser evil of the gang. It could have just happened. And the sergeant did not miraculously escape from his gagged position in the burning house. Good!

Thanks to John Milton for this movie tip!
