A bit of an LSD-trip-like film where the many surreal scenes also immediately create the beautiful

Highlights are in a simple story. A unique but beautiful video with a singer.

Marianne Faithfull in the lead role, who not only sings but also proves to be an excellent actor.

As a story, it's rather weak, and the actors have little to do either. It does, however, provide a beautiful atmospheric image of the 1960s, though that's an unintended effect of Faithfull's road trip so many years later. The contrast between the old cars, the outdated clothes and hairstyles, and the still-ultra-modern-looking bridge—over the Rhine, I think. It's a shame that so much of the footage is so obviously fake.

And the ending is a bit grim, but also instructive. What's missing in comparison is the idea that you really shouldn't drive without glasses or a visor—I once got a bluebottle in my eye; you can't see for ten minutes because of the pain. Not even with your other eye. So, you better do, because you really don't know where you'll end up.
