Beautiful character sketch about a number of people, brought together outside the environment and the circumstances in which they interact on a daily basis.

Almost all traits of petty humanity are discussed and actually a big compliment to the casting because every actor fits perfectly in his role.

For example, Michel Robin is brilliant as the timid, well-meaning and affectionate man, Jean-Luc Bideau excels as the rude partygoer, Jacques Rispal is also very special and, as said, everyone else is perfectly absorbed in the funny-dramatic intrigue.

In the review!

The most modest, shy, gray-haired man in the office throws a garden party for his colleagues after a 2-month absence.

It's hot and after a few drinks the party gets a bit out of hand, albeit in a subtle and painful way.

Nice situation sketch about jealousy and frustrations at the office that slip out quite easily with some alcohol.

This did not suit me. Those fifty years can still be seen. The data is good, but the typecasting and the way of acting is outdated. Sits somewhere on the border between comedy and drama. Too much drawn out according to current views without anything substantial actually happening. And after an hour I started to find that garden party quite annoying. Colleagues are unable to have a meaningful conversation. That's what the film is about, of course, but you've seen that quickly and then it lasts for an hour and a half.
