The music is very striking, the cast does its best, but not everyone is convincing and the story could have been given a lot more attention.

Okay, of course it's not Leone, but the film is very underrated here. It's not that bad anymore. The story is quite nice and Ennio Morricone's score tops it off.

Spaghetti western, which feels a bit more American than average peers, perhaps because it looks more like an impossible task movie a la Mission Impossible, but disguised as a western. This feeling is reinforced by the presence of Graves in the leading role.

We also see Spencer in his typical role even before he broke through a few years later together with Hill in the famous Trinity films.

and Tanba, who I honestly only know from a role in the Bond film You Only Live Twice and who stands out here in a probably heroically intended scene, in which he ends up from the train and sprints to get back on it. This is staged and filmed in such a clumsy and unbelievable way that it is more likely to make you laugh. It was immediately the only thing I remembered from the film, so it - probably not for the right reason - made an impression.

Towards the end we get another plot twist, which has been dragged along.

Perhaps very exciting at the time, but now mainly somewhat dated and tiring entertainment.

A pass, but no more than that: a six or three stars.
