On paper, this looks like one of the countless silly SF horror films that were mostly cobbled together for drive-ins in the 1950s. The somewhat vague story concerns the inhabitants of a small town, whose lives are shaken by the (emergency?) landing of aliens. The opening monologue already makes it clear that we are dealing with a comedy here. There are also some hilarious moments and dialogues, especially with regard to the couples at Lover's Lane. Although the monsters look a bit silly in full regalia (see the poster for that), there are indeed some effective scares, especially when a hand comes to life and single-handedly (sic!) tries to cause a massacre. It is therefore unbalanced in tone, but this is considerably better than the many messes from that time.

Indeed, rather a (weak) comedy that also takes place mainly in the dark. Unfortunately, the aliens have a very high papier-mache content. I don't think it's available in a decent image quality (?) which makes it a bit of a hassle.
