The Punisher plot
"There is no justice, there is only revenge."
FBI agent Frank Castle quits his dangerous undercover job and starts a normal life with his wife, his son and an office job. However, his life is disrupted when his family is massacred by mobsters seeking retribution for what Frank did in his latest undercover job. Now it's up to Frank to get revenge.

The Punisher is a nice bad revenge movie from the pre MCU phase of Marvel. The plot is anything but original and at times very corny, but it is also the charm of the film at the same time. There is a lot of pace in the film, there are nice one-liners and the fights are hard and at times also comedic. In addition, Castle/the Punisher also seeks revenge in an original way, in which he does not only use mindless violence.
The film is self-conscious in what it is and that makes The Punisher just a nice and tough action film in which you should not be bothered too much by soggy cliché moments that are there to give motivation to the characters.
