Liminal plot

In La Lumière la Lumière, French director Philippe Grandrieux evokes the obsessive relationship between two women whose existence is sustained by a somber voice. In The World is Cold, Filipino director Lav Diaz describes the life of a young man and his musical dreams, interwoven with images of a capricious future fraught with obstacles. In Azúcar y Saliva y Vapor, director Manuela de Laborde transports us to three distinct landscapes through chaotic sound textures, where musical textures intertwine with a leitmotif in the background. In Lady Lazaro, director Óscar Enríquez uses opera singing both as a protagonist and as a supernatural means of spiritual healing for broken souls.
