A play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart with music by George Furth and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. At its center is the friendship between a composer [Jonathan Groff], his regular lyricist [Daniel Radcliffe], and their mutual friend [Lindsay Mendez], who has been secretly in love with Franklin for years. The friendship is on the brink of collapse because Franklin loses himself in various solo projects. We discover how it came to this point through flashbacks that go further and further back in time to the beginning of their friendship. Key roles are played by Franklin's wife [Katie Rose Clarke] and acclaimed actress and mistress Gussie Carnegie [Krystal Brown]. The enthusiastic cast handles source material from Broadway legends with ease. In the showstopper Franklin Shepard, Inc., Radcliffe demonstrates that he, too, is perfectly at ease with this material. Filmed live at the Hudson Theatre in New York in June 2024.
