A nice film about a woman who goes canoeing to cope with the loss of a friend. A simple premise for this otherwise fine action thriller, although it does have a somewhat predictable plot. Plenty of beautiful shots of the Australian nature, and the canoeing and rock climbing look good too. Just shy of 3.5 stars.

A great adventure thriller, watched with bated breath. The weather is nice today, but there are more important things in life, like the Netflix premiere of Apex. I was willing to stay inside for that. The film features two top actors: Theron and Edgerton add a lot of energy and intensity. Especially a lot of respect for Theron, already 50 by now, who pulls off death-defying stunts here. A true class act whom I admire very much! This is simply very well executed, although I often got the feeling I had seen some of it before: Cliffhanger, The River Wild, Deliverance. Apex won't win an originality award, but that certainly doesn't mean there is a compromise on quality. A Netflix gem.

I really expected more from this; I didn't think it would be a masterpiece, but this was very poor and also extremely predictable.
Fortunately, we still have Egerton, who is trying to make something of it.
It's none of my business, but if I were Theron, I would put Ozempic on ice for a while.
Just another run-of-the-mill video, quickly forget this one....
