Toen Ik Klein Was, Was Ik Niet Bang plot

On a sunny spring day in Rotterdam's IJsselmonde neighborhood, two young boys, Gush and Kevin, are simply trying to enjoy their childhood. After nearly drowning in the Maas River, they surface, shaken, but still smiling. Kevin is already fitting in with the older, tougher boys and growing up quickly. But Gush continues to dream: he wants to be an astronaut. When his soccer ball lands in the garden of his quirky neighbor, Gershwin, he discovers that Gershwin is his future self, returned to let him be a kid for one last weekend before real life begins.
