I watch true crime shows on Play Crime and ID several times a day. This is among the worst I've ever seen. Honestly, I even have my doubts about some things; I certainly don't believe everything.

And to put it bluntly, if she hadn't been raised so backward, it would have been a completely different story. She was 15 at one point, so by then you'd already be somewhat independent and certainly smarter than what she was doing.

And in everything that happened, God was brought into it!

The US is a beautiful country, especially Utah. I've been there many times, but I don't think the number of insane people per capita is higher anywhere else. I loved every trip, but I still didn't feel truly safe in many places.

On June 5, 2002, 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped. After more than nine months of severe abuse, her abductors were exposed and tracked down. Now Elizabeth is an activist dedicated to helping victims of all kinds of abuse, and with the help of her family, the lead investigator, and a reporter who became obsessed with the case, she tells her story. Produced with the support of Smart's foundation, this story is undoubtedly well-intentioned, but cliffhangers, suspenseful music, and other true-crime clichés lend it a sensationalist flavor reminiscent of the television movie "The Elizabeth Smart Story," which was cobbled together shortly after Elizabeth's rescue.
